4Works just fine
By J. Cloud
I bought this after looking at a well known consumer magazine's reports on treadmills. This one was priced around $600 and was recommended. They noted that it is for walking and light jogging. I weigh 225 pounds and am almost 6'3". I have gotten out of shape in my old age (65) and I used to jog two to three miles a day. I did not want to run around or walk around the paved streets all day, and I wanted convenience in every form ... ceiling fan, casual clothes, and even a huge TV screen. I bit the bullet and bought this treadmill despite my wife's wishes. I am glad I did. It has proven a boon for me and my health. I am slowly losing weight and my cardiovascular is improving. I can be watching a program, get up and start walking at three miles an hour .... and in eight and a half minutes I have used up another fifty calories. I set a program for thirty minutes walking and burn up 250 calories. I even break a good sweat. Starting to feel great again. You can run on this treadmill with no problem. It is fine for someone like me, or who weighs less. This would not hold up for a 300 pound linebacker who wants to run 10 miles an hour twice a day, but how many treadmills would be able to do that unless they cost upwards of two thousand dollars? Not many, I am sure. This treadmill is affordable, works well, and is well built. It has more bells and whistles than I need, but what I do need is there in abundance. Love it so far. I recommend.

4It's good enough for the most of us
By Julia V.
This treadmill will meet your expectations if you are not a pro. I've been a junior national team level runner in high school. 10+ years later I started to feel that I'm not moving enough and become quite a lazy person. Not a good habit that will be harder to break in a few more years. Those few extra pounds from having a baby didn't help also. I'm a stay at home mom, so I decided to try a treadmill. I turn a baby monitor and can run during his nap. I didn't want to spend crazy amount of money on a professional equipment because I wasn't sure if I'm going to use it that much and especially to start to compete again.I see it all around how people who own a treadmill use it mostly like an expensive hanger for clothes.I'm glad I got this treadmill. It has 0-10 MPH quick speed control and 0-10% incline control. That's plenty for me. I don't think I will ever make it up to 10 mph. I mostly use up to 5 now. Be careful with the incline, you can hurt your knees pretty easy. I've had some problems with it. So, I would recommend to get fit first then to start to add some incline. I'm 5'4" 120lb and my husband is 5'11" 225lb and 20x55" of the belt is enough for us. It has 16 workout apps but I'm not able to use most of them. If I choose to run 20 min and to lose 500+ cal it will be too fast for me. So you will need to try different options and will find your speed. Also don't forget to change your weight on the console if it's in use by multiple users, so the calories will be counting more accurate. To me, the cals counting is pretty accurate. I never use the hart rate option, it will never show you the right amount on most treadmills. I can hook up an iphone to the speakers on the treadmill and it will give you quite a bit more sound. Not that impressive, but it's not a stereo system, so I couldn't expect much. You also can fold it for storage fairly easy. I have to notice that the product futures on the site are misleading. It will not go up to 12mph and 15% incline. Look at the product description down below, those numbers are correct. It took a few hours for my husband to put it together, so it's not that easy installation. He's put the heavy treadmill on it's power cable which is not detachable and moved it. So he damaged the cable a bit. It still worked though after that. Also the plastic in front of the belt is pretty flimsy. It cracked a bit when he sat down on it during the installation. So be careful with those. If you really will use the treadmill for a while and will get bored with it's workout options you can get the ifit module for about $90 now. It will give you 1 year of subscription up to 4 users on the ifit site with lots workouts, google maps view and you even can compete with other people. I've got it and it does add some useful options. Not sure though if I will pay $100 for the next year of the subscription. Too much in my opinion. So, if you want to buy a treadmill to get fit, lose weight and not going to make some money on sport competitions I would recommend it.

By A. Samanta
The treadmill does what it is designed for, good workout, we use without the ifit live and still good features to work with. very less noise making, well built at this price, good one for starter treadmill for people under 300 lbs. we like the weight loss progam, gives very good workout in all settings. response time after changing settings is pretty fast. we are already loosing wieght after using it for few weeks.
